Is this for general English, or for Language and Literature specifically?
Both. Up to Year 9 your child studies English as one subject and we teach it that way. From GCSE, tell us whether your child needs Language, Literature, or both, and we match accordingly.
When does English split into Language and Literature?
That happens at GCSE. Before then, English stays as one subject, and everything we cover at KS2 and KS3 sets your child up for that split rather than pre-empting it.
Will my child have one tutor for both GCSE English subjects, or a specialist for each?
We match a specialist to each subject your child is sitting, since Language and Literature are examined separately and reward different skills. If your child only needs help with one, tell us which and we match just that.
Which set texts do you cover for English Literature?
