Is this for general Science, or for Biology, Chemistry and Physics specifically?
Both. Up to Year 9 your child studies Science as one subject and we teach it that way. From GCSE, tell us whether your child is sitting Combined Science or the three separate subjects, and we match accordingly.
My child is doing Combined Science, not the separate sciences. Does that matter?
Yes, and it is one of the first things we match on. Tell us which your child is sitting, since the content and paper structure differ between Combined and Triple Science.
Will my child have one tutor for all three GCSE sciences, or a specialist for each?
We match a specialist to each science your child is sitting, since Biology, Chemistry and Physics are examined separately even within Combined Science. If your child only needs help with one of the three, tell us which and we match just that.
Do you cover KS2 SATs science?
Yes, the working scientifically skills and core knowledge SATs test are built into lessons from Year 3 onwards, not crammed in at the last minute.
Do you tutor A-Level Biology, Chemistry and Physics as well as GCSE?
Yes. There is no A-Level in general Science, so once your child reaches sixth form we match a specialist to whichever of Biology, Chemistry or Physics they are sitting, matched to their exam board and specification.
